Throttle valve 6mm PTC 1/8 BSP
Throttle valve, or also flow reducer. This valve can reduce the amount of air.
Please note: this is different from a pressure reducing valve that can reduce the air pressure (in bar).
The housing of the valve is made of plastic and metal.
The volume that an air horn emits depends on the air pressure (bar) and the amount of air. Changing the number of bars, or the amount of air, influences the sound volume of an air horn.
This flow reducer can therefore be used to easily reduce the volume of an air horn.
This throttle valve works both ways. This means that it does not matter on which side the air enters and exits.
A 6mm tube can be inserted on one side and the other side has a 1/8 BSP-P male thread.
Abbreviations:
PTC: Push To Connect.
BSP-P: British Standard Pipe Parallel. Also called 'Gas' wire in straight form
Bar: Unit of measurement for (air) pressure.
6mm hose: Outside size of the tube is 6mm.
